The second domestically produced large cruise ship project of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has launched its structural assembly
On March 20th, the launching ceremony of the structural assembly of the second domestically produced large cruise ship H1509 project was held on the 4th platform of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Corporation. Chen Jianwei, Assistant General Manager of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, attended.
Large cruise ships are "floating cities on the sea" and are also known as the "three jewels on the crown of the global shipbuilding industry", which are the most difficult to pick. Unlike conventional civilian ship products, cruise ships use a large number of thin steel plates in their upper structures to control overall weight, and controlling welding deformation is a challenge in cruise ship construction. After the overall assembly of the main structure is installed, ensuring its quality and accuracy is the first hurdle in the background engineering of the cruise ship, and it is also the foundation for the comprehensive commencement of subsequent interior decoration projects. The second ship has a larger main scale compared to the first ship, which means that the amount of structural construction has also increased, but the production and construction period in the dock has been shortened by 8 months. The loading team will make every effort to tackle various nodes such as the overall structure assembly, loading, full ship connectivity, and completion and delivery of the H1509 ship.
Chen Jianwei requested that the cruise ship construction team of the loading department fully promote the spirit of cruise ships, adhere to the spirit of craftsmanship, prepare in advance for labor, resource investment, cost management and other planning, timely summarize the construction experience of the first ship, and apply it to the construction of the second ship. While continuously improving construction quality, it is also necessary to strengthen cruise ship safety management and continue to carry out safety production work. The road is long and arduous, and only by gathering the strength of the team can we overcome obstacles and move forward through the waves.
